The Inland Empire Utilities Agency offers a “Water is Life” Student Art Poster Contest annually. Using the theme “Being water-wise is…” students in Grades K-12 in IEUA’s service area are invited to create an art poster depicting various water uses, ways to use water more efficiently, or water conservation topics.
Recommended topics include:
- Inside or outside of the home or school
- In the environment (nature)
- In agriculture
- In business & industry
- In recreation
- Use of drought-tolerant plants
- Use of efficient irrigation systems

IEUA received so many creative posters for the 2025/26 “Water is Life” contest and would like to thank everyone for their submissions. In April 2024, IEUA selected 10 artworks to advance onto compete in Metropolitan Water District’s regional contest. We wish them luck!
