Inland Empire Utilities Agency Added Fuel Cell to Its Renewable Energy Portfolio

Ontario – A 2.8 megawatt fuel cell power plant, owned and operated by Anaergia Services – a division of Anaergia Inc. recently came on-line at the Inland Empire Utilities Agency’s (IEUA)Water Recycling Plant located in Ontario California. Installation of the fuel cell plant assists IEUA with implementing its renewable energy program and removes a significant risk factor regarding compliance with any future changes to clean air regulations.

Federal Grant Increases Inland Empire Drinking Water Supply

RIVERSIDE, Calif. – The Inland Empire is one step closer to seeing a significant increase in a local drought-proof source of drinking water thanks to a $4 million U.S. Bureau of Reclamation grant that Western Municipal Water District secured in close partnership with the Chino Basin Desalter Authority and the Inland Empire Utilities Agency.

Annual Earthday Celebration

Chino, CA – The Inland Empire Utilities Agency will be co-hosting, along with the City of Chino and the Santa Ana Watershed Association, an Earth Day Celebration at the Chino Creek Wetlands and Educational Park on Thursday, April 19, 2012. The Earth Day Celebration will be open to schools that have scheduled field trips between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. The Earth Day Celebration will be open to the public between 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.

Inland Empire – At the February 15th regularly scheduled Board meeting, the Inland Empire Utilities Agency’s (IEUA) Board of Directors adopted its Go Gridless by 2020 Initiative, with a specific focus on energy independence from the grid, during the peak energy usage hours by the year 2020.
