Chino –Oxford Preparatory Academy School students had the opportunity to cultivate a curriculum-based school garden thanks to a water-wise “Garden in Every School” program sponsored by the Inland Empire Utilities Agency (IEUA), Lewis Group of Companies, Chino Basin Water Conservation District, the Cucamonga Valley and Monte Vista Water Districts, the San Antonio and Fontana Water Companies, and the cities of Chino, Chino Hills, Ontario, Upland, Fontana and Rancho Cucamonga.

Consumers in portions of four Southern California counties may notice a musty taste and odor in their tap water, but it is an aesthetic problem and not a health hazard, according to water quality experts.
Protecting water quality and local water supplies is critically important to our region’s economic future. This is why, on July 20th, the Inland Empire Utilities Agency – with unanimous support from residents, businesses, environmentalists, local cities and other water and wastewater agencies – adopted a new regional ordinance prohibiting the new installation or replacement of certain residential self-regenerating water softeners – the type to which you add salt and directly discharges brine to the wastewater system.
This letter is in response to your letter dated August 12, 2011, regarding the Inland Empire Utilities Agency's (IEUA) Amendment to Ordinance No. 87 which prohibits the future residential installation, replacement and enlargement of self-regenerating ion-exchange water softeners with IEUA's service area.
Chino Hills, CA – On August 25, 2011, the Inland Empire Utilities Agency (IEUA) participated in a Drug Take Back event hosted by San Bernardino County Supervisor Gary Ovitt and the Chino Hills Police Department. This event aimed to draw awareness toward the abuse of unused prescription medications and the problems that follow the improper disposal of such medications.
