INLAND EMPIRE, CA – The Inland Empire Utilities Agency (IEUA/Agency) has been awarded the Operating Budget Excellence Award by the California Society of Municipal Finance Officers (CSMFO). The Agency has been honored with this prestigious award for over 10 years.
“We proudly accept this award as recognition of the Agency’s commitment to applying ethical, fiscally responsible and transparent principles to all aspects of IEUA’s business and organizational conduct,” stated IEUA Board President Steve Elie. “It is an honor to be recognized for our staff’s dedication to fulfilling the highest standards established for effective budgeting.”
The award criteria include an extensive list of 43 requirements that must be met. At least 21 items in the Operational Budget and 17 items in the Capital Budget must be graded as “Proficient” or “Outstanding” for the budget document to be awarded an Excellence Award.
