INLAND EMPIRE, CA – The Inland Empire Utilities Agency’s (IEUA/Agency) Board of Directors held its election of officers (effective January 1, 2024) during IEUA’s Board Meeting on December 20, 2023. Director Marco Tule was re-elected to serve as the Agency’s Board President, Director Jasmin A. Hall was elected to serve as the Agency’s Board Vice President and representative to the Santa Ana Watershed Project Authority (SAWPA) Commission, Director Steve Elie was elected to serve as the Agency’s Secretary/Treasurer, and Director Michael Camacho was re-elected to serve as the Agency’s representative to the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California’s Board of Directors and alternate representative to the SAWPA Commission.
“To be re-elected by my colleagues is a true honor,” stated elected President Marco Tule. “Over the last year, I have had the privilege of working closely with IEUA staff, customer agencies, and partners and have witnessed firsthand the dedication and innovation of our IEUA team in ensuring water supply reliability for our community. We have accomplished a great deal over the last year, celebrating accomplishments like 20 years of our impactful water-use efficiency programs, top level recognition for regional plant compliance, and grant funding awards for critical projects that will promote regional resiliency, to name a few. I look forward to continuing the great work with my colleagues on the IEUA Board of Directors whose passionate and knowledgeable leadership aids in successfully implementing the Agency’s mission and vision throughout the region.”
Director Tule, who will begin his second consecutive term as Board President come the new year, was elected to the Agency’s Board of Directors in November 2020. Director Tule is a Senior Environmental Engineer and Sustainability Program Manager representing Division 1 of IEUA’s service area, which includes the city of Upland, city of Montclair, San Antonio Heights (unincorporated territories in the city of Upland’s sphere of influence), unincorporated territories in the city of Montclair’s sphere of influence, a portion of unincorporated territories in the city of Chino’s sphere of influence, and a portion of the city of Ontario.
Incoming Vice President Jasmin A. Hall has served on IEUA’s Board since October 2013 and previously served as Secretary of the Fontana Planning Commission and Chairwoman for the Fontana Parks and Recreation Commission. Director Hall represents Division 4 of IEUA’s service area which includes a large portion of the city of Fontana, a portion of the city of Rialto, and a portion of the city of Bloomington (unincorporated territories in the city of Rialto’s and city of Fontana’s sphere of influence).
Serving on IEUA’s Board since December 2010, incoming Secretary/Treasurer Steve Elie is an environmental and water law attorney who regularly represents public entities and public utility regulated entities in complex, multiparty litigation and administrative matters. Director Elie represents Division 3 of IEUA’s service area which includes the city of Chino, city of Chino Hills, and a portion of unincorporated territories in the city of Chino’s sphere of influence.
