Chino, California – The Inland Empire Utilities Agency (IEUA) and the City of Chino will be hosting a virtual Earth Week event accessible from Sunday, April 17 – Saturday, April 23. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore the Chino Creek Wetlands and Educational Park virtually through an interactive and immersive platform as they take part in educational activities, navigate through resources provided by external vendors, learn about our environmental resources and how to protect them, enjoy an environmental show, and participate in opportunities to receive free giveaways. Virtual Earth Week event field trips for elementary schools will take place this week as well.

This free event provides fun, interactive opportunities for the public to learn how they can be environmental stewards and protect natural resources. Students and the public will learn about water resources, the State’s current drought, how compost benefits the soil, the diversity and importance of the region’s habitat including virtual wildlife encounters and native plant life, and the importance of proper recycling.

The first 100 participants to visit the “Giveaways” booth and complete the survey will be eligible to receive an IEUA swag bag.
