Inland Empire, CA - For the 15th consecutive year, the Inland Empire Utilities Agency (IEUA) has been awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) for its comprehensive annual (FY 2012/2013) financial report (CAFR). The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management.

Launched in 2000, IEUA’s supplier recognition program selects one outstanding supplier or contractor for work conducted in the prior calendar year. Companies are nominated by IEUA staff based on the vendor’s overall performance, pricing, and level of customer service.

Chino, California –The Inland Empire Utilities Agency (IEUA) will be celebrating Compost Awareness Week May 5-11, 2014. Composting is an effective form of waste reduction, reuse and recycling. Materials such as yard trimmings, vegetable cuttings, biosolids, manures and hay shavings can all be composted and converted into a beneficial product known as compost.
