The Inland Empire Utilities Agency is pleased to offer FREE Water Discovery field trips to the Chino Creek Wetlands and Educational Park in the city of Chino. The Water Discovery Field Trip program was developed to connect students with the environment, promote the public understanding of the value of natural treatment wetlands, explain and show the creation of habitat for endangered/sensitive species, and provide ways to practice environmental stewardship.
The Chino Creek Wetlands & Educational Park is located at 15975 El Prado Road, Chino, CA 91708.
To take part in the Water Discovery Field Trip Program, schools and organizations in IEUA’s service area qualify for transportation funding to and from the Chino Creek Wetlands and Educational Park through a needs based Busing Mini-Grant. Schools and organizations outside of IEUA’s service area may inquire about applying for Busing Sponsorship through partnering water districts if needed. For more information, please contact Stephanie Chancellor at email@example.com or 909.993.1611.
Field trips are held Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays during the school year and run from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Field trip bus drop-off and check-in will be at 9:30 a.m. The field trip will conclude for lunch at 12:00 p.m. Due to space limitations, we can accommodate groups of up to 60 students per day. Larger groups will be split over two (2) or more days.
